Devin D. Williams, O.D.
Dr. Devin Williams was born in Frankfurt, Germany while his father served in the army, but his family moved to the Hampton Roads area when he was an infant. He graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. He then earned his Doctorate degree in optometry with honors from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University. While in school, Dr. Williams was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society and was awarded the Conforma Laboratories Award for demonstrating clinical excellence in contact lens design and application of fitting criteria.
Dr. Williams’s areas of interest include specialty contact lenses and ocular disease. He received additional training in school by completing an Advanced Studies in Contact Lens clinical program to further his knowledge and capability in fitting a wide array of contact lenses including: soft, RGP, hybrid, scleral, orthokeratology, medical lenses (Prokera, AmbioDisc), selecting appropriate patients, fit troubleshooting and detecting and treating contact lens complications. He is able to detect, treat and manage various ocular conditions such as dry eye, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and age related macular degeneration. He is passionate about treating each and every one of his patients as a person first and then as a patient. His goal is to educate patients on the visual function and health of their eyes and involve them in all aspects of their treatment plans aimed for the best results.
Dr. Williams is an active member of the Tidewater Optometric Society, Virginia Optometric Association, and the American Optometric Association.
While he currently resides in Hampton, Dr. Williams is looking forward to relocating to the beach. When he’s not working he enjoys running, disc golf, bowling, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
