Dry Eye Syndrome

If you have ever gotten something in your eye or accidentally scratched the surface of your eye, you know how incredibly sensitive the surface of the eye is!  In fact, it is safe to say that if the surface of your cornea is not happy, you will not be happy!  Common symptoms of an unhappy cornea are burning, tearing, redness, itching or a feeling that your eyes are always tired.  However, an unhappy cornea can also cause fluctuating vision where things look good for awhile but get blurry requiring you to blink or rub your eyes to restore clear vision.  The most common cause of an unhappy cornea is Dry Eye Syndrome (DES).

Numerous studies have shown that up to 15% of adults struggle with  Dry Eye Syndrome.  If you are having any of the above symptoms, make an appointment so that we can help make you cornea happy!
